The project involves the extraction of up to 500,000 tonnes per year of hard rock for high-grade cement feedstock and construction materials, serving the greater Sydney region and local regional markets, including Goulburn and surrounding areas.
It is estimated that approximately 7.7 million tonnes of saleable product, including 4.4 million tonnes of high-quality hard rock and 3.3 million tonnes of weathered soft rock, will be extracted over an 18-year period.
The objective of the Marulan Quarry is to contribute to local, regional, and state economies through significant capital investment, job creation, and the supply of essential raw materials to the construction industry. Operations will prioritize safety and environmental responsibility, with progressive rehabilitation of the site to ensure a stable and sustainable final landform.
