Global Quarries is a privately owned company founding in Australia and owned by Australians.

Global Quarries focuses on the resources sector and seeks to provide much needed resources to develop and improve infrastructure in Australia. Global Quarries is devoted to ensuring that operations are undertaken in an environmentally friendly manner and in accordance with Australian standards.

Global Quarries seeks to not only provide resources for use in Australia but to also provide locals employment opportunities.

  • Maykel Putrus

    Director

    Maykel began his career in formwork carpentry and has had a hands on approach his whole life.working with in the construction industry for over 15 years and has been involved with Development of residential , commercial and Civil Projects.

    since 2003 Maykel has founded multiple companies each company in different sectors of the building industry.

    Recently in 2015 founding Primeform a leading contractor in the erection of structural elements for New south Wales, through Primeform Maykel has gained vast knowledge in the materials & resources applied To the structural building.


  • Charlie Straw

    Geotechnical Engineer

    Economic geologist with over 20 years as a professional in the natural resources industry globally in a variety of technical and senior executive roles for a range of organisations from small private companies to global conglomerates and listed junior explorers.

    Core competencies include mineral project identification and assessment including all aspects of the minerals cycle plus corporate finance and corporate development, project and corporate management, strategic development and problem solving with a focus on metalliferous mineral projects.

    Global experience in precious and base and industrial metals project assessment and exploration in Australia, Canada, China, Argentina, Peru, the US and Mexico.


  • Vergilio Serra

    Project Manager

    Vergilio began his career in industrial design working in the mining sector designing valve and pipeline machinery for Jindex pty ltd, Jindex created and exported valve machinery to the domestic and international market.

    After this time Vergilio went onto working in the industrial, residential & Commercial sector where he managed the construction of structural works for Wideform pty ltd. Vergilio then moved onto a project management role under Primeform where he overseas the Formwork, Reinforcement and Concrete works.


  • Bill Pickering

    Community Relations

    Beginning his career as a newspaper journalist in Queensland, Bill then accepted a specialist commission in The Australian Army as a military public affairs officer.

    He served 15 years in the Army including operational appointments in Rwanda (Africa), Bougainville and in East Timor. His service included major incident crisis management, critical community and stakeholder engagement, and international and domestic information planning.

    Bill left the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel to take up an appointment as Director – Media and Corporate Communications with the NSW Department of Corrective Services, before moving into private sector consultancies as a director and managing director. In this time, he was elected and served as a councillor and twice as Mayor for the City of Ryde. Bill’s formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) and a Master of Arts (Communication – Organisational Communication).
